The Sunni Muslim group accjarvees.comused Israel of committing war crimes in the 2008 war, a charge it said would prompt action against Lebanese Shia, who Israel says are not real refugees but are its allies and pose a threat to its security.
The government spokesman for Lebanon, Saad al-Khatib, said the army had repelled an ambush by Lebanese Hezbollah fighters in the town of Golan on Wednesday morning. It was the first reported encounter of its kind since the border was opened three weeks ago.
He said the militants had been caught off guard by a group of Israeli military officers, who fired on their jeep before shooting a few rounds, wounding only three.
Some 20 soldiers had died and dozens wounded when their jeep was hit by the firing of Israeli tanks in southern Lebanon, an army colonel said, adding he had spoken to at least three soldiers killed. A senior official of 바카라사이트the Lebanese army confirmed the casualty figures.
The military would not confirm what type of tanks were involved. Israel has denied it was aware the tanks had crossed its border on Wednesday.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is due to meet U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House on Thursday to discuss his response to the conflict.
Netanyahu has said the Israeli security establishment was unaware the tanks were crossing the southern Israeli side of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday – but there are several possibilities for where the fighting may have stemmed from:
• The army was trying to evacuate civilians.
• Hezbollah was using “blunt means” to infiltrate Israeli positions.
• The army had mistaken its own jeeps as “armed terrorists”.
The government says its forces shot down the jeeps near the Israeli border, an assertion it denies. The United Nations Human Rights Council said it was investigating whether those killed were civilians or were 바카라combatants.
Two tank officers, one killed and several wounded in the Golan attack, were taken to a hospital in Syria for treatment, a senior military source said. The official was speaking on condition of anonymity.
The source said that because of the “intense” fighting in the border region, the Lebanese army was preparing for two or three “sledding battles”.
Israeli army media reported that an Israel Defense Forces tank had been destroyed as it attempted to evacuate a civilian car on a highway in Lebanon’s southern Bekaa Valley, north o
