According to TMZ, he was an avid baseball player and had been to his first pro-football game before his death. He also once told The New York Times: “I was born a kid who made music and grew up an athlete and that’s what he did for a living. I didn’t want to play baseball,” according to TMZ.
In an interview, he said he was the biggest boy on his block — though he would be known as “The King of the Corn” to fans.
“I made my money in the rap world, but I’m a basketball, baseball player,” he said. “I’ve made records I love, I played the game, I did stuff with my girlfriend, and I played the game when I could. And that’s all I did.”
He would become the father of five young children.
